Christmas shop Malaika

obchod-intro-en

Help this christmas a child from rural areas of Kenya to go to school.

Mary (name changed to protect the child's) was born to a single mother. She has two older sisters and one brother. Unfortunately, their mother became ill and died in July 2010. Now Mary is an orphan and lives with her aunt, who is a poor peasant. Her aunt also has children of her own which she must take care of and therefore doesn't have money for Mary's education. Mary is thus reliant on the help of other people to get the education which is dreaming about.

Although the government in Kenya says that primary education is free, it still costs a lot of money, because children must pay for textbooks, lunches, school uniforms and sometimes even a school bench. Mary's aunt can not afford all these expenses and therefore came as her guardian to the St. Anna school asking for help for Mary.

Now, when we managed to find a sponsor for Mary, she may begin to go regularly to school and get healthy school lunches and the sponsor will cover all of her direct educational expenses.

Mary, however, still has a problem with transportation to school, like many other children. Her aunt can not afford to pay her transport and Mary has to walk several miles each morning and evening. It's very difficult for her, as she is only 8 years old and free school bus transportation would help her not only to shorten the way, but also provide a secure way to school.

Many students from St.Anna school, which lies between the Kenyan mountains, must walk up to 15 kilometers by foot, to reach their classrooms in the morning and come back home in the evening. Many children therefore cannot even reach their school. The St. Anna school is the only one in the area, which offers quality education for children and orphans from very poor families, affected directly or indirectly by HIV/AIDS.

The aim of Integra Malaika is to collect 6.000 eur more for a school bus, from the whole amount of 13.000 eur.

This Christmas, we would like to give you the opportunity to share the joy of giving with your loved ones. In our christmas shop, you can buy a symbolic piece of bus, or give a voluntary amount, by which you will help the children from rural areas of Kenya to go to school.

Join our effort to buy a bus for the St. Anna school. You can send your donations to the Integra Foundation account: 262 547 5865/1100 and use the variable symbol 444.
